This family-run winery is owned by José Víctor Balbás Arroyo who comes from one of the area’s pioneering wine-making families. His experience is complemented by that of the rest of the team that make up the winery staff. Day by day they face the challenge of improving the quality and reputation of the Viña Solorca wines, taking care of every last detail, so as to take their rightful place among the very greatest Ribera del Duero -producers.

Ribera del Duero Spain

This deep cherry red wine has ripe fruity aromas, along with well integrated fine toasted notes. Well structured and silky smooth on the palate, with mineral touches. Well rounded, meaty, and full flavoured, with reductive hints of tobacco and cedar, along with polished silky tannins, and with a long and complex finish

This wine is an attractive and pure glossy deep garnet red, with brick-red tones on the rim. A complex and unmistakeable array of spicy aromas, from its time spent ageing in oak casks, which evoke toasted and balsamic reminders of cocoa, coffee, and liquorice. Full flavoured and with excellent structure, this full-bodied wine is full of character, and flows over the palate beautifully. This is a wine that has the potential to improve even further for some years to come. AWARDS: Grand Gold Medal Concours Mondial Bruxelles 2019.
